Getting here is easy, from the mainland / Vancouver area BC Ferries provides a regular scheduled car ferry service from both the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal (25kms south of Vancouver) or Horseshoe Bay Terminal (10kms north of Vancouver) located in West Vancouver.
Once in Nanaimo, driving time to Tofino is approximately 3 hours. If you drive from Victoria it takes approximately 4.5 hours.
Driving West on route 4 across Vancouver Island takes you past the town of Coombs, stop and visit the Farm Market with the goats on the roof. Further towards Port Alberni is Cathedral Grove - worth getting out to marvel at the stands of timber and old growth forest!
Once past Port Alberni as you drive further west, you will be amazed as the road winds through river canyons and valley with intoxicating views, past sheer rock bluffs & peaks with glaciers. Watch the vegetation change as you approach our rugged West coast! You'll pass beautiful Kennedy Lake, Vancouver Island's largest freshwater lake.
Arriving onto the Pacific Rim

Rim National Park ...stop and stretch your legs on Long Beach
and be awed by the pristine natural beauty miles of sand, windswept
shores and crashing waves!
Once here, you're ready to embark on your adventures in exploration.
Check in is at West Wind's
main area at 1321 Pacific Rim, watch for our sign on the left side
once you have passed Chesterman Beach road.
